What is USB 3.2?

USB 3.2 is based on the latest USB-IF specification announced in 2019. SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen1 (5Gbps) is equivalent to the previous USB 3.1 Gen1 and USB 3.0 specifications. Furthermore, SuperSpeed+ USB 3.2 Gen2 has advanced from Gen2 by 1 (10Gbps) to Gen2 by 2 (20Gbps).

My USB disk is correctly detected by the PC but not displayed in my computer.

This may be due to your USB disk and another drive, such as a web drive, utilizing the same drive letter. To resolve this issue, please follow the instructions below to change the drive letter of your USB disk:

1. Right-click and select "Management."
2. Choose "Disk Management."
3. Right-click the USB disk and select "Change Drive Letter and Path" from the function menu.

Why is the capacity of USB drives displayed on the computer always lower than the actual capacity?

The discrepancy is caused by a conversion issue involving unit capacity. Hardware manufacturers typically define 1K as 1000 bytes in decimal, while software providers such as Microsoft define 1K as 1024 bytes in binary. Additionally, manufacturers reserve 3-5% of the capacity for firmware, application software, and data storage maintenance, resulting in a difference between the marked and actual capacity.

When can I safely remove the USB disk from the PC?

To safely remove a specific device, click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon.
